Privacy policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Overview
This policy describes the personal information that EthicStone LLC ("EthicStone," "we," or "us") gathers, our reasons for gathering it, the ways we put it to use, and the choices and rights you hold over that information. It governs every point at which you come into contact with us, whether you browse our website or reach out by email, live chat, text message, or social media. It applies wherever an EthicStone online property links to this policy, and covers all of the features, content, and services we own or operate across any of these channels (together, the "Service").
Throughout this policy, "Personal Information" refers to any information that identifies you, describes you, relates to you, or could reasonably be connected to you either directly or indirectly.
We suggest you revisit this policy from time to time so you stay familiar with how we handle privacy. Residents of California and individuals located in Europe should also read the dedicated sections below ("Additional Disclosures for California Residents" and "Additional Disclosures for Data Subjects in Europe"). Should anything here raise a question, the "Contact Us" section explains how to reach us.
When you engage with us, you agree to our handling of your personal information in the manner this policy sets out.
What We Collect
Information You Give Us Directly
You supply certain Personal Information to us through the Service. For instance, when you open an account, edit your profile, view our content, buy something, enter a sweepstakes, contest, survey, or similar promotion (a "Promotion"), reach out to support, or join our text messaging program.
Below are the categories of Personal Information we may gather, and may already have gathered:
- Contact details: Your name, email, mailing address, phone number (plus your mobile carrier if you sign up for texts), and comparable contact information.
Login credentials. Passwords and related details are used to verify identity and grant account access. - Demographic details: Information such as your age, the month and/or day of your birthday, your gender, and your country.
- Profile details. Your interests, favorites, wish lists, ring size preferences, and other profile entries.
- Contact referrals: When you act on a request that involves someone else — say, emailing a product to a friend or referring them to us, we ask for both your and your friend's names and email addresses. This lets your friend see that the message came at your request. Anything we collect this way is handled only as described in this policy. By using these features, you confirm that you have your contact's permission for us to use their details to carry out your request.
- Content you send: Messages you direct to us, including written feedback and product reviews, texts sent through our messaging program, and questions or details you share with support, along with comments or posts you make on social channels. For example, when you speak with a customer service representative or jewelry consultant, or file a request through the Service, we use what you tell us to answer you and to share further information we think might help. This also covers photos, videos, and other material you submit. Any feedback you give falls under this policy and our Terms and Conditions.
- Government identification: In some situations, chiefly to guard against fraud, we may collect an image of your driver's license or another government-issued ID. We may also gather government-issued numbers, such as a Social Security number, when tax reporting is required, for instance, if you win a Promotion prize.
You're also free to send us information we never asked for. If you do, you alone are responsible for it.
Information Gathered Automatically
As you interact with the Service, EthicStone automatically records details about your device and how it behaves with our systems, sometimes with the help of outside service providers. This includes:
- Usage data: Which features you use, the pages you open, the emails and ads you view, the items you buy, when you tend to browse, the pages that lead you in and out, and similar signals about how you move through our Services.
- Device and configuration data: Your device or browser type, its operating system, your internet provider, your regional and language preferences, and comparable details about how you connect to us.
- IP address and device identifiers: We log your IP address and the approximate location tied to it, along with other identifiers, including mobile advertising IDs for the devices you use. This helps us spot and fix problems, keep the Service and its servers running well, study traffic and trends, understand our audience, record the timing and length of each visit, deter fraud, and tailor both the Service and the advertising you see.
We rely on cookies, server logs, web beacons, and comparable tools (collectively, "Online Technologies"), such as:
- Server logs: Our servers automatically record the kinds of details noted above, which helps us gauge how the site is used and where it's trending.
- Cookies. Cookies are small data files your browser saves on your device: We place them on parts of the Service to do things like study how visitors flow through our pages, gauge how well promotions perform, personalize your shopping, credit visits sent by affiliates and partners, let you share pages to social networks, and run the shopping cart. We use them for several business purposes:
-
- Essential cookies: Required to use core features like the shopping bag and to reach password-protected areas such as your account.
- Performance cookies: Gather data on how you use the Service so we can measure and sharpen site performance.
- Functional cookies: Enable extra features and personalization, remembering choices like your language or location so we can surface content that fits you.
- Advertising and targeting cookies: Help us show ads suited to your interests, cap how often you see the same ad, and judge how well our campaigns work. If you join our text program, cookies may personalize your experience, for example, by sending reminders about items left in your cart.
- Web beacons (pixels): These are tiny, invisible images embedded in a page that load along with it. When you open a page, video, email, or ad carrying one, the pixel loads and may let us or another party set or read cookies in your browser. Paired with cookies, pixels help analyze what a given browser does on a given device. We sometimes use third-party pixels to track conversions, deliver ads on and off the Service, and add functionality such as linking the Service to your social media account.
- Device fingerprinting: This technique gathers and combines signals from your browser, things like JavaScript objects and installed fonts, to build a distinctive "fingerprint" that identifies your device and its apps.
- Location technologies: When you turn on location services, location-aware tools may collect an approximate location based on IP address. We may use this to confirm your device's whereabouts and to serve or withhold content and ads based on where you are.
Some of what these Online Technologies gather about your activity on the Service and on certain unaffiliated sites and services may be tracked over time and across services, and used by us and others to, for example, link the various devices you use and deliver relevant ads or content across both our Service and outside properties.
For more on these technologies and the choices you have, see "Other Parties" and "Your Rights and Choices" below.
Information from Outside Sources
We also learn about you from other sources. Whenever we merge information you gave us through the Service with information obtained elsewhere, we treat the combined set under this policy, along with any extra limits the source imposes. Those sources include:
- Social networks, when you mention our Service or let EthicStone access your data on them.
- Financing providers we partner with to offer purchase financing, and the financial firms that process payments.
- Partners in advertising and marketing.
- Publicly available sources, such as open government records or other public-domain data.
- Friends who refer you to us.
How We Use Your Information
We may use the Personal Information we hold about you to:
- Display the site and its content to you.
- Run the Service, including your sign-up, account, and transactions.
- Carry out what you ask of us: processing and filling your order, answering your comments, questions, and requests, and providing support.
- Send reminders and help confirm or schedule your interactions with us.
- Track and study trends, usage, and activity across our Services.
- Run promotions, including surveys and research into our users' demographics, interests, and behavior.
- Strengthen our marketing, our Service content, and our product and service lineup.
- Build and send you direct marketing ads and messages about our own and others' products, offers, promotions, rewards, events, and services.
- Confirm your eligibility for and award prizes in Promotions you enter.
- Place and deliver advertising on our Service and on unaffiliated sites and services.
- Meet any legal, regulatory, or governmental requirement.
- Serve any other purpose we disclose to you, or that you direct or consent to.
How We Share Your Information
We disclose your information consistent with this policy. Recipients may include:
- Affiliates. Our related companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates — for purposes such as support, marketing, and technical operations.
- Business partners. Partners involved in co-branded offerings, the sale or distribution of our products, or joint marketing.
- Promotion partners. If you join a special event such as a Promotion, we may share your information with the organizations taking part, some of whom may then send you their own promotional materials.
- Public content you provide. When you post feedback, testimonials, photos, videos, or other material, we may publish and share it — including any information it contains — on the Service, with partners, or in our marketing, and we may edit it for length or content at our discretion.
- Request facilitation. Other parties we work with to complete your requests, such as when you opt to share your Service activity with a social network.
- Vendors and other third parties. We share information with vendors and others for business and commercial reasons, for example, giving a shipping company your name and address so your order can arrive. Such vendors include web hosts; shipping and fulfillment firms; diamond and gemstone suppliers, jewelers, and assemblers; insurers; data-analysis firms; advertising and analytics technology companies (including digital ad and SMS/MMS text providers); affiliates; customer service providers; consulting and marketing firms; accounting, bookkeeping, and legal firms; financial-services firms; technology companies (including enterprise-application vendors and firms enabling electronic and SMS/MMS communications); and data-storage providers. If you pay by credit card or use another financing option, a payment processor handles your information for that transaction. We may also share information with companies and organizations for fraud protection and risk reduction.
- Legal, security, and fraud purposes. We may disclose information whenever we judge it necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a government request. We may likewise share it to investigate, prevent, or respond to unlawful activity, including suspected fraud, or as the law otherwise demands, and to protect the rights, property, life, health, security, and safety of EthicStone, the Service, or any person.
- With your consent. For any other purpose we disclose to you and that you agree to. Separately, and unless the law forbids it, we may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you with others or with affiliates for any purpose. For your choices about sharing, see "Your Rights and Choices."
Children and Minors
The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 16. If you are under 16, please do not use the Service or provide us with any Personal Information. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under 16 without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly. We do not sell or share the Personal Information of consumers under 16, as those terms are defined by the California Privacy Rights Act. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us.
Cookies and Related Technologies
EthicStone uses cookies, server logs, web beacons, pixels, and other tracking tools (collectively, "Tracking Technologies").
Our cookies fall into three groups:
- Required cookies. Always on, because they power core functions — remembering your country and language, recording how you move through and use our services for statistics, keeping track of whether you're signed in, and holding your shopping bag and wish list. We don't seek consent for these, since we have a legitimate reason to use them, but you'll find them listed in our third-party cookie list (linked below).
- Analytic cookies. Optional cookies that let us follow and analyze your experience, refine your shopping, invite your feedback, and let you engage with product reviews.
- Social and advertising cookies. Used by ad companies to serve ads matched to your interests and to personalize marketing on and beyond our Services, including social media. Partners such as Facebook and Google may merge this with data they've gathered elsewhere. They collect it straight from your browser, and their own privacy policies govern how they handle it.
Your Rights and Choices
Reviewing and Updating Your Account
You can view, change, or delete certain account details you've voluntarily given us. Do this through your account or by reaching out via Contact Us. We may ask for more information to verify who you are. Note that we keep and use information as needed to meet legal duties, settle disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Choices About Online Technologies
- Cookies and pixels. You can refuse our cookies whenever your browser allows it. Most browsers let you block all or some cookies through their settings. If you use several browsers or devices, you'll need to set each one separately. What you can block depends on your browser's own settings and limits.
- Do Not Track. Your browser may let you send a "Do Not Track" signal to the sites you visit. Because there's no shared industry standard for handling these signals, we neither monitor nor act on them. You can read more at https://www.eff.org/issues/do-not-track.
Communications
To stop receiving promotional emails from EthicStone, use the unsubscribe link in any of our promotional messages or reach us through Contact Us. Opting out of promotional emails won't affect our non-promotional messages to you, such as service notices, communications about your orders, or the ongoing conduct of our business.
Analytics and Interest-Based Advertising
You can opt out of Google Analytics' use of your information by visiting tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To opt out of Google Analytics for display advertising or to adjust Google Display Network ads, use the Google Ads Settings page. For Microsoft's interest-based advertising, use the Microsoft Ad Settings page.
Some of the other parties that collect your information to serve you more relevant ads take part in the Digital Advertising Alliance ("DAA") Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising, which offers one place to set your online behavioral advertising choices. Learn about the DAA and your opt-out options at aboutads.info/choices; in the EU, see www.youronlinechoices.com. Any opt-out applies only to the specific browser or device you use to make it. Opting out only means participating members should stop delivering certain interest-based ads; you may still see targeted content or ads from other networks, as well as non-targeted ads.
We aren't responsible for how well any outside party's opt-out programs work, whether they comply, or how accurately they describe themselves.
Data Security and Retention
We put in place and maintain reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to help shield your information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Even so, no transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot promise your information is completely safe.
We keep your information as long as we need it for the purposes for which it was gathered, for delivering our Services, offering support, satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting duties, pursuing or defending legal claims, deterring fraud, or as the law otherwise permits.
To set the right retention period, we weigh factors like how much information there is, its nature and sensitivity, the risks if it were accessed or disclosed without authorization, why we're processing it, whether we could achieve that another way, and any legal requirements that apply.
International Transfers
EthicStone operates in the U.S., and U.S. law governs the information we collect. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or in any other country where EthicStone or its partners, affiliates, service providers, subsidiaries, or agents keep facilities; by using this website, you consent to such transfers outside your country — though this does not apply to EU residents. Data-protection laws in the U.S. and elsewhere may differ from those where you live. Using the Service or giving us any information therefore signals your consent to the transfer, processing, use, sharing, and storage of your information in the U.S. and other jurisdictions as described here.
Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy now and then to keep pace with how we operate, and we reserve the right to do so at any time. When we make a change, we'll update the "Effective Date" on this page, and the change takes effect the moment we post it. We encourage you to check back periodically to see how we protect your information. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the policy as posted. If a change is significant, we may give you extra notice, such as by email.
Additional Disclosures for California Residents
This section applies only to people who live in California. The California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") grants added rights to know, delete, and opt out, and requires businesses that collect or disclose personal information to provide certain notices and ways to exercise those rights.
Categories We Collect
Over the past 12 months, we may have collected these CPRA categories of Personal Information:
- Identifiers — name, email, phone number, account name, IP address, and any ID assigned to your account.
- Customer records — billing and shipping addresses and credit or debit card details.
- Demographics — your age or gender; this can include characteristics treated as protected classes under California or federal law.
- Commercial information — your purchase and service history.
- Internet activity — how you interact with our Service.
- Audio or visual data — photos or videos you share with us or post on the Service.
Geolocation data. - Employment and education data — information you provide when applying for a job with us.
- Inferences — conclusions about your interests, ring size preferences, and favorites.
For more on what we collect and where it comes from, see "What We Collect." We use these categories for the business purposes described under "How We Use Your Information."
Rights to Know, Correct, and Delete
As a California resident, you may learn about our data practices, delete Personal Information we've collected from you, and correct certain Personal Information. Specifically, you can ask us for:
- The categories of Personal Information we've collected about you.
- The categories of sources it came from.
- The categories of Personal Information we disclosed for a business purpose, sold, or shared, and the categories of third parties who received it — broken down by category of information for each category of recipient.
- The categories of third parties to whom we disclosed information for a business purpose, sold, or shared it.
- The business or commercial reason we collected, sold, or shared it.
- The specific pieces of Personal Information we hold about you.
You may ask us to delete your Personal Information. Where the law allows, we may keep and continue processing data if a CPRA or other exception applies, and we'll tell you when one does.
You may also ask us to correct inaccurate Personal Information. Where the law allows, we may decline if a CPRA or other exception applies, and we'll tell you if so. We may also choose to delete information rather than correct it, provided that it doesn't harm you or you agree to the deletion.
No Discrimination or Retaliation
You have the right not to be treated in a discriminatory or retaliatory way for exercising any of these rights. If you believe EthicStone has treated you that way for using your CPRA rights, please contact us.
Opting Out of "Sale" or "Sharing"
We do not sell your Personal Information for money. However, we use third-party advertising and analytics services (including Google and Meta) that collect information through our website in ways that constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA and may constitute a "sale" under other US state privacy laws.
The categories of Personal Information we share for cross-context behavioral advertising are: Identifiers (including cookie IDs, device identifiers, and IP address), Internet or other electronic network activity information, Commercial information, and Inferences drawn from that information. We share these categories with advertising networks and analytics providers.
California "Shine the Light" Law
California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, as described in Cal. Civ. Code §1798.83. To make a request, email us at support@ethicstone.com with "Shine the Light Request" in the subject line. You may make one request per calendar year.
Removal of Minors' Postings
California residents under 18 who are registered users and have posted content on the Service may ask us to remove it by emailing the address in Contact Us. The request must confirm that you personally posted the content and specify where it appears. We'll make a reasonable, good-faith effort to take it out of public view going forward. Note that removal may not be complete — for instance, another user may have reposted the material.
Additional Disclosures for Data Subjects in Europe
The following supplements our policy with extra detail for individuals in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland (together, "Europe").
Legal Bases
- Legitimate interests. Where processing serves the legitimate interests of EthicStone or a third party and isn't outweighed by your rights and freedoms.
- Performance of a contract. Where processing is needed to carry out a contract with you.
- Consent. Where you've consented to processing for one or more specific purposes.
- Legal obligation. Where processing is needed to meet a legal duty that binds EthicStone.
Exercising Your GDPR Rights
If you're in Europe, you may access, correct, or erase Personal Information we've collected through the Service. You also have rights to data portability and to restrict or object to our processing. Beyond that, you can ask us not to process your Personal Information or pass it to third parties for processing for marketing, or for purposes materially different from those for which it was originally collected or later authorized by you. You may withdraw any consent you've given us at any time.
You, or an authorized agent, can exercise these rights by writing to support@ethicstone.com.
We handle requests promptly, and within the periods European data-protection law requires, usually within 30 days of receiving them. Every request is subject to proper identity verification first.
If you're an authorized agent acting for someone else, you may need to take extra steps to prove your identity and your authority to act on that person's behalf.

Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or are manually removed. Depending on their purpose, our cookies may remain active for anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 years.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings to block or delete them if you prefer.
